郑全战博士，腾讯公司首席架构师，腾讯研究院院长。2006年加入腾讯。之前曾在美国微软总部工作八年，全程参与了Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista，以及DirectX 6.0到9.0的研发。郑博士曾于1992年翻译了微软在中国正式出版的第一本书《Microsoft Windows开发环境与技术》。是最早在中国介绍Windows NT技术的人之一。共写作和翻译了十多本有关Windows技术及编程的书籍，如《未公开的Windows核心技术》，《Windows 95程序设计》，《Windows NT 3.5高级编程技术》。郑博士于北京大学计算机系获学士和硕士学位，美国明尼苏达大学计算机系获博士学位。

Quanzhan Zheng, Ph.D., Chief Software Architect, Head of Tencent Research. He joined Tencent in 2006. Before that, Dr. Zheng worked in Microsoft Headquarter, USA, for eight years. He participated in developing Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, and DirectX 6.0 - 9.0. Dr. Zheng received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Peking University, and Ph.D. degree from University of Minnesota, USA, majored in Computer Science.

多媒体研究室致力于多媒体压缩、多媒体前后处理和多媒体通信领域的核心技术研究，为腾讯产品和服务提供高质量高性能的多媒体组件和完整解决方案。研究室成果已在多项腾讯产品中得以应用，如QQ超级视频、QQ超级语音、QQ影音播放器。其愿景是通过对多媒体技术的研究积累，推动腾讯多媒体技术创新和核心竞争力的提高。

Multimedia Research Group focuses on the technologies of multimedia compression, multimedia pre/post processing and multimedia communication. The group provides high quality multimedia components and complete system solutions for the products and services in the company, such as QQ video/audio chat, QQPlayer, etc. The goal is to enhance Tencent’s competency and influence in the multimedia field.

中文处理研究室主要研究计算机如何正确处理和理解自然语言，为公司产品（如SOSO）提供基础技术和创新技术的研究。 主要研究方向为分词技术、内容过滤、主题提取、文本分类聚类、文摘技术、语义分析等。研发腾讯的自然语言处理和文本挖掘平台。

Chinese Processing Research Group focuses on how computer can process and understand natural language correctly; thereby providing basic and innovative technologies for Tencent’s products, such as SOSO search engine. The directions include word segmentation, content filtering, topic extraction, text classification/clustering, summarization technology and semantic analysis, etc. The goal is to build the natural language processing and text mining platform in Tencent.

智能计算研究室致力于通过计算智能，辅助用户更好地使用和搜索音乐、图像、视频和空间信息等结构性高维数据，提供更好的互联网沉浸式体验。

Intelligence Computing Group focuses on taking advantage of intelligence computing to assist users to gain and use high dimensional data, such as music, image, video and geo-info, etc, providing better Internet surfing experience.

网络研究室跟踪网络领域最新研究成果，研究连接、流量控制、网路拓扑、数据调度等网络基础技术以及P2P相关的下载、流媒体、存储等应用技术。致力于节约公司成本，为公司相关系统和产品提供技术储备和支持。

Network Research Group keeps paying close attention to the latest study on inter-peer connections, flow control, network topology and data scheduling. Related applications, such as file downloading, streaming media and massive information storage are also included. The goal is to reduce the cost of the company and provide technology support for the related products and services.

数据分析研究室致力于统计分析、数据仓库、数据挖掘及其商业智能相关的研究。通过关注国内外数据挖掘技术的发展趋势，根据公司的业务特点提出新技术，新算法的适用性，协助业务部门对模型进行部署和应用，从而实现精确化营销的目的。

Data Analysis Research Group focuses on the research of statistic analysis, data warehouse, data mining and business intelligence relevant technology. According to the characteristics of Tencent, the group builds up a series of models or algorithms, deploys and applies them for the precise marketing target by working with business units.

专注于无线互联网技术研究，致力于打造中国最好的无线互联网服务平台。主要研究方向为无线互联网服务和通信协议、嵌入式平台开发技术、手机平台应用插件化整合技术、手机浏览器技术、以及手机输入法技术等。

Wireless Center focuses on the research of wireless Internet technologies, and targets to build the best wireless Internet service platform in China. The directions include wireless Internet service, communication protocol, embedded system development, mobile platform plug-in integrated technology, mobile web browser technology and mobile input method, etc.

桌面技术中心致力于开发和运营高质量的桌面软件产品，为互联网用户提供最基础的软件服务，像水和电一样融入用户的“在线生活”。目前已有QQ影音播放器、QQ拼音输入法、QQ旋风下载工具、TT浏览器、QQ软件管理、QQ医生等多款产品，并且还在不断地提升已有产品的质量和开发新的桌面产品。

Desktop Technology Center focuses on developing and operating high quality desktop software products to supply the most fundamental services to Internet users, which like utility such as water and electricity in their on-line life. There're QQPlayer, QQPinyin, QQDownload, TTraveler, QQSoftwaremanager and QQDoctor,and more coming soon in the future.
